DT Words & Paintery: a bottle

 I got this inspiration from the empty wisky bottles I asked my father for mixed media to work. First I was handling a bottle on a white gesson one layer. Then I riped the old book pages and glued it to the bottle with decoupage lacquer. In each gap, of course, the work done properly dry well. With tekstured paste and stensils I made some textures on bottle.  At this time, I let the work dry for a couple of days.

First I put more than one ton of paint onto the work: turquoise and 2 different kind of brown.
After each paint layer, wipe extra paints off with a towel. With a dry and damp towel. Sometimes the colors had to be increased and wiped again to give them enough levels and nuances. After that, I gave up work again and dried in peace more than 24 hours.

I found Primana's frame and I got the idea to use in a bottle. The frame I have colored acrylic inks using the ink applicator. With several layers and just tossing the color layers, different levels and depths of color emerged.  When the frame was well-drained, I wept with a dry towel to remove the color from the work so that it became light-bodied.  When the frame was well-drained, I moaned with a dry towel out of the work so that there were light spots that finished the frames. Wood shapes painted with paints.

Finally, it was time to bond with Priman Heavy body gel all the loose parts attached - chains, frame, flowers, woodcuts ... Again I let the work dry for the rest of the day. Finally, I glued Prima´s Mélange decorations on the bottle. They became a wonderful dewdrop effects.


Sain tähän haasteeseen inspiraation tyhjistä wisky pulloista, joita olin isältäni pyytänyt mixed media töitä varten. Ensin käsittelin pullon kerroksella valkoista gessoa. Sen jälkeen repisin vanhoja kirjan sivuja ja liimasin sen kiinni pulloon decoupage lakalla. Jokaisessa välissä tietysti työn annettu kunnolla hyvin kuivua. Sapluunoiden avulla laiton joka puolelle pulloa tekstuuri pastaa. Pullon kaulaan ja kulmiin ihan vain pelkeällä palettiveitsen kanssa. Tässä vaihessa annoin työn kuivua ihan rauhassa pari päivää.

Levitin työn päälle useita kerroksia maalia. Ensin turkoosia, sitten ruskeaa 2 eri sävyssä. Jokaisen malaikerroksen jälkeen pyyhin ylimääräiset maalit pois pyyhkeellä. Kuivalla ja kostealla pyyhkeellä.  Välillä väriä piti lisätä lisää ja taas pyyhkiä, jotta sinne syntyi tasoja ja vivahteita riittävästi. Tämän jälkeen annoin jälkeen työn seistä ja kuivaa ihan rauhasa vuorokauden.

Kaapin perältä kaivoin vanhan Priman kehyksen. Kehyksen olen värittänyt akryylimusteilla tuputtamalla musteen levittimellä. Useammalla kerroksella ja juuri tuputtamalla värikerrokseen syntyi erillaisia tasoja. Kun kehys oli hyvin kuivunut, niin hinkasin kuivalla pyyhkeellä työstä väriä pois niin, että siihen tuli vaaleita tehoisteita. Puuleikkeet värjäsin maaleilla. Lopuksi oli aika liimata (Priman Heavy body gel) kaikki irto-osat kiinni - ketjut, kehys, kukkaset, puuleikkeet...  Taas annoin työn kuivua rauhasa vuorokauden. Sen jälkeen liimasin ihan tacky glue liimalla työhön mélange´ja Primalta. 

Tämän työn tekemin oli silkkaa iloa.
